Urban Sketchers Raipur ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect when you visit our website, register for an account, sign in via Google OAuth, or upload sketches to our community platform, and how that information is handled securely.

We collect only the information necessary to provide community and artist profile services:
A. Account & Profile Information
When you create an account using email or third-party sign-in:
- Email Address: To verify your account, handle secure sign-in, and send critical transactional notices.
- Name / Display Name: To attribute your sketches and display your public artist profile.
- Profile Picture / Avatar: Uploaded by you or retrieved from your social login provider.
- Bio & Social Links (Optional): Any artist bio or Instagram handle you choose to add to your profile.
B. Artwork & Community Contributions
When you upload artwork or interact with meetups:
- Uploaded sketch images and thumbnails.
- Metadata you provide: title, description, drawing medium (e.g. watercolor, pen), date sketched, and location.
- Community likes and participation records for urban sketching meetups.
C. Technical & Session Data
Essential operational technical data:
- Authentication Cookies: Secure, HTTP-only session tokens to keep you logged in.
- Network Logs: Standard request headers, IP address, and browser user-agent handled securely at the edge by Cloudflare for network security, DDoS protection, and rate limiting.
03. Google OAuth & Limited Use Disclosure
Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
When you sign in using your Google Account, Urban Sketchers Raipur requests access only to your basic
profile information (specifically the userinfo.email and userinfo.profile scopes).
How Google Data is Used:
- To authenticate you and establish your session.
- To populate your artist profile name and default avatar picture.
- To send essential transactional notifications if requested.
Urban Sketchers Raipur's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- No AI Model Training: We DO NOT use Google user data to develop, create, or train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.
- No Advertising: We DO NOT sell, license, or share Google user data with any advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
- No Unauthorized Human Access: No human reads or inspects your private authentication tokens or private account data unless required for security investigations or under explicit legal obligation.
04. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your personal artist profile and digital sketchbook.
- To display your public sketches, credits, and achievements across the community gallery.
- To coordinate and announce chapter meetups, workshops, and exhibitions.
- To maintain platform security, prevent abuse, spam, and unauthorized account access.
05. Service Providers & Infrastructure
We do not share your personal information with third parties except for trusted infrastructure providers strictly necessary to host and deliver the service:
- Cloudflare: Edge hosting, CDN, DNS, and serverless compute (Workers, D1 SQLite database, and R2 object storage) with high-grade TLS encryption.
- Google Identity Services: Provides secure authentication if you choose to sign in with Google.
06. Data Security & Storage
We implement industry-standard security safeguards. All web traffic is strictly encrypted using HTTPS / TLS 1.3. User passwords (when email sign-up is used) are salted and hashed using modern cryptographic algorithms (Argon2id/Bcrypt via Better Auth) and are never stored in plaintext. Access to the production database is tightly restricted.

You can view, edit, or remove your profile information and uploaded sketches at any time directly through your dashboard.
Account & Data Deletion
To permanently delete your account, sketches, and all associated personal data from our systems, email us at urbansketchersraipur@gmail.com. We process requests within 7 business days.
08. Children's Privacy
Our online platform is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will promptly remove the information.
